About the Happy ApE Project

The Happy ApE project explores the human experience, aiming to create value by sharing art and philosophy. The project's aim is to share daily insights and aesthetics that serve as reminders on the art of living. It is called the Happy ApE project because, at its core it is about practicing the two wings of mindfulness meditation; Awareness and Equanimity. The business side involves building a brand and monetizing art and philosophy in various ways.

About the role

The primary objective for the internship is to create a great webshop experience. We'll decide together the best approach and platform, but currently, happyape.dk is running on Squarespace. At the moment, only a few products are available online, and part of your role would be to create products from existing designs/art either through local sourcing or through POD services. If interested, you could also take an active role in liaising with our social media marketing partner, Generaxion.

  • Responsibilities:

    • Ensure high-quality production and delivery process by researching different POD services and integration to web and social media.

    • Create products from existing designs/art (posters, clothes, cards, books, etc.).

    • Manage product listings and the overall online store on the website and other platforms if applicable (POD, SoMe).

    • Continuously update and improve the web store layout, functionality, and user experience.

    • Collaborate on marketing strategies and product placement.

    • Liaise with social media marketing campaigns done by Generaxion, if interested.

  • Skills Required (/eagerness to learn (by doing)):

    • Knowledge of print design and production processes.

    • Experience in product merchandising and e-commerce platforms.

    • Proficiency with Squarespace for web design and store management.

    • Creativity in product design and branding.

    • Ability to troubleshoot and improve web functionalities.

About the company

The Happy ApE project is part of KCC, which was founded in 2019. You will work closely with me, the founder/owner and Chief Journey Officer (CJO). I have nearly 20 years of experience as a management consultant and business development executive. The Happy ApE project is an art project that builds on my background as a coach, mindfulness teacher, and avid doodler.

Job will entail

  • Keeping social media, website, webshop up to date and engaging. Easier than it sounds, but you can get challenged too.

  • Proof-reading and co-writing material; and just posting and tagging and engaging with content online.

  • Potentially help design product designs and art ideas if so inclined. Could be anything from a simple clean up and coloring of drawings or as complex/creative as analysis of product ideas, marketing campaigns, or inspired art.

ARTIFY

Marketable Art Potential: digital coloring/effects, animation

I need others to artify it; colors; pang; pow, animation. This can be both for social media engagement and for product designs.

I like the “live drawing feel”, where you follow the continuous line flowing across the paper. We’re all just reading along with the flow of the pen. See examples on youtube.

SHOPIFY

Access & Distribution: set up shop and selection (products)

I need others to shopify it; put the design on posters, clothes, cards, books, etc.

It needs to be done right with focus on quality and customer experience!

STORIFY

Marketability with the right story: marketing and social media

I need others to storify it; sharing it on social media, sell it through own/other accounts.
